When your relationship is struggling, it follows you everywhere.

You can feel the tension before either of you even says anything. A text gets read wrong, a question sounds like criticism, dinner gets quiet, one of you turns away in bed, and somehow you’re still replaying the whole thing at work the next morning.

You start rehearsing how to bring things up, deciding it isn’t worth it, then eventually saying it when you’re already hurt or angry.

Maybe you’ve apologized, promised to do better, listened to the podcasts, shared the relationship posts, planned the date nights, and still have no idea why you keep ending up here.

This can stop taking up so much of your life.

Imagine bringing up something hard without immediately bracing for what comes next. You begin noticing the moment things start going sideways, understanding what your partner actually means, and responding differently instead of getting swept into the usual reaction.

There is more room for laughing, affection, sex, your family, your plans, and all the other parts of life that have been buried under the tension. You stop wondering whether something is fundamentally wrong with your relationship and start trusting that the two of you can handle hard things and still find your way back to each other.

Queer-affirming couples counseling for LGBTQ+ partners seeking healthier communication and stronger relationships.

Why me?

Here’s the thing, by the time most couples find me, they’ve already had the conversation a hundred different ways.

I’m here to notice the small moments that keep derailing it, slow them down with you, and help you practice a different response.

I’ve spent 15 years doing this work, and I’m direct, compassionate, and affirming in a way that welcomes queer, monogamous, polyamorous, and ethically nonmonogamous relationships.

I’m not here to fit your relationship into a box. Every couple is different. I want to understand your relationship as it is, without judging it, stereotyping it, or assuming what it should look like.

What healing looks like:

○ Looking forward to them coming home again, instead of wondering what kind of night you’re about to have.

○ Bringing up the hard thing without losing the whole evening, and sometimes actually feeling closer afterward.

○ Laughing on the couch, sending the dumb meme, reaching for each other in bed, because affection feels natural again.

○ Taking a breather during an argument and trusting you’ll come back to it, instead of chasing, shutting down, or spiraling.

○ Feeling like you’re on the same team again, even when kids, work, family, finances, or life gets stressful.

○ Making plans for next month or next year and actually feeling excited, instead of quietly wondering whether you’ll still be together.
